Martin Luther King Day Contest |
Overall the blood drive went extremely well! We had over 100 students sign up to donate blood and over half were able to successfully donate! The red cross was very appreciative of all of the students who made the generous decision to donate blood and they saved around 140 lives! Thank you so much to everyone who signed up and we hope you'll donate again!

Canned Food Drive was a Success!!

Can drive this year was extremely successful! We raised 6,918 cans for Rochester Area Neighborhood house! The people helping people movement founded by Mr. Vernon and joined by Mr. Adams raised the most cans with 2,177! Mrs. Cusmano came in second with 668 cans, and Mr. Zwolinski in third with 516! Thank you to everyone who donated cans or money because every little bit helped. We hope in the future you will continue to contribute to the cause and continue to prove why Rochester is such an amazing and giving community to be a part of. Thank you!
Musical Thoroughly Modern Millie Rocks the House at RHS

Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of a small-town girl, Millie Dillmount, who comes to New York City to marry for money instead of love. Millie soon begins to partake in the flapper lifestyle of the 1920s. Problems occur when Millie checks into a hotel owned by the leader of a white slavery ring in China. The style of the musical is comic pastiche. The show opened on Broadway in 2002. The production went on to win six 2002 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
Blanket Drive
High school Practicum and Co-op students at Rochester High school worked in partnership with School Aged Care at North Hill by assisting in this year’s Blanket Drive. The students in SAC donated 20 blankets this year to the Linus Project (A nonprofit organization that hand makes blankets for critically ill children). The high school students assisted by cutting the blankets while the children in before and after care tied them. A lot of love was poured into these blankets of comfort and hope. The Malsbury Family would like to extend their gratitude to all those parents that donated blankets and to Mrs. Malsbury’s students and for generously donating money to buy more blankets.
Interested in Carpooling?
Rochester High School is forming a list of families that would be interested in carpooling. Below you will find a form that can be turned into the main office once it is filled out. A contact list will then be created with all families that are interested in a carpool. The contact list will then be emailed to all parties on the list - and only those parties on the list. It is up to the parents on the list to reach out to each other. This will be used as a resource for parents that are struggling with transportation issues.
