Advanced Placement Tests

For any student that plans on taking an AP test in May of 2016… An AP Test Registration meeting will be held February 2nd at 2pm in the auditorium. Students will be released by PA announcement from their 6th hour. AP Registration will officially open on February 1st. Rochester Community Schools Financial Aid Night at Adams High School
Want to learn more about the FAFSA? Do you have a senior? Are you looking to borrow money for college? Please attend this informative session about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The presenter will be Greg Little from Baker College. The event will be held at Adams High School on January 16th at 6:30 pm. FASFA is due March 1, 2016.

Suicide Awareness Classroom Presentations

Counselors have visited the Health and Wellness class to educate students on the signs of suicide. The goal is for students to be able to identify the warning signs of suicide and to tell an adult of they have concerns.

- Talking about suicide
- Making statements about feeling hopeless, helpless, or worthless
- A deepening depression
- Preoccupation with death
- Taking unnecessary risks or exhibiting self-destructive behavior
- Out of character behavior
- A loss of interest in the things one cares about
- Visiting or calling people one cares about
- Making arrangements; setting one’s affairs in order
- Giving prized possessions away

There will be no school in the morning for 9th and 12th graders. Classes will resume in the afternoon. 10th grade students will take the required PSAT in the morning, and attend afternoon classes following the test. 11th grade students will take the required Work Keys test in the morning and attend afternoon classes following the test. |
